PHY-1120 - Fundamentals of Physics II with Lab* (S) (4) Prerequisite: PHY-1110 This algebra based physics course is the second of a two course sequence in general physics and covers oscillatory motion, waves, sound, electricity, magnetism, circuits, optics and modern physics. Together with PHY 1110 this generally satisfies the minimum requirement for many programs in health and technology. Lab work includes experiments on oscillatory motion, waves, sound, electricity, magnetism, circuits, optics, and modern physics. This course satisfies the General Education Physical Science requirement.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Explain basic laws and concepts that govern oscillatory motion, waves, sound, electricity, magnetism, circuits, optics, and modern physics.
CO2 - Apply physics principles to solve simple quantitative and qualitative physics problems.
CO3 - Discuss experimental results in written and graphical form.
Course Fee: 45
