EDU-2150 - Child Care Center Administration and Management* (3) Prerequisite: EDU-1012 and EDU-1013 Student are instructed in meeting MSDE state requirements for physical facilities, licensing, insurance, and staffing child care programs. Other topics included are record keeping, budget and bookkeeping, personnel selection, training and managing staff, food services, equipment, material, and community involvement. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed based on their use of college-level reading, writing, and communication skills.

CO2 - Explain the licensing, accreditation, and credentialing processes.
CO3 - Develop a budget for a child care program and outline plans for efficient implementation.
CO4 - Develop a plan to work effectively with staff, parents, volunteers, and the community.
CO5 - Identify the roles of a director in different types of child care programs.
