HMS-2211 - Human Services Practicum* (3) Prerequisite: HMS-1100 or SOC-1040 Students gain field experience in a human services setting. Placement is coordinated by the instructor in an effort to provide prospective employees with a broad understanding of the many human services organizations and current employees with alternative perspective approaches.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Apply theoretical approaches in field placement.
CO2 - Apply the standards of the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists for the State of Maryland in field placement.
CO3 - Demonstrate work readiness by achieving satisfactory evaluation by the supervisor upon the completion of 60 hours of field placement.
