DMP-2910 - Digital Media Production Internship or Practicum* (3) Prerequisite: DMP-1010 ; DMP-1020 This course will provide students with the opportunity to get real-world working experience in their chosen field by either working for a media-related business or non-profit organization, or by working for the CSM Television station. The student will be supervised by a working media professional. CSM faculty will perform at least one site visit during the semester. There are no regularly scheduled class meetings. Instructor meets with students at mutually agreeable times.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Have exercised initiative at every possible opportunity and go beyond the minimum standards specified in the practicum/internship agreement.
CO2 - Have shown up for work on time and in accordance with your specified agreement.
CO3 - Have exhibited professional behavior at all times.
CO4 - Have participated in the specified activities to achieve the specified objectives.
CO5 - Have scheduled periodic meetings with your academic supervisor to discuss your progress.
CO6 - Have spent at least 135 hours working with their sponsoring facility.
