EGR-2222 - Elements of Discrete Signal Analysis* (4) Prerequisite: MTH-1210 ; EGR-1105 This course presents essential concepts to sample and analyze signals. Continuous-time signals, discrete-time signals, sampling, linear transformations, orthogonal projections, Fourier Series, Discrete Fourier Transform, and linear filters are introduced. This course emphasizes the use of engineering analysis software to analyze and filter signals.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Apply principles and techniques of linear algebra in order to analyze systems.
CO2 - Calculate Fourier series coefficients in order to analyze periodic continuous signals.
CO3 - Compute the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) in order to analyze discrete signals.
CO4 - Design Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters in order to process signals.
